I'm toying with the idea of going with Second Edition rather than Rogue Trader.

Here are the reasons:

I own several codex books (Eldar, Ultramarines, Space Wolves, Angels of Death, Imperial Guard), and it would be much easier to allocate my models since list construction is more standardized.

I also have the original 2nd edition "generic" codex books, too (which were considered legal lists throughout 2nd Edition).

The problems?

Well, a number of issues I've written about would disappear.  The only real issue is that it's not Rogue Trader.  But it's the closest approximation that doesn't require pages and pages of house rules.

What I'm missing?
I think all my tokens for this set got mixed with my Necromunda stuff.  I'll have to search the dungeons for them.  I have Sustained Fire Dice and the original Artillery Dice, and all the relevant rulebooks and Dark Millenium.

It would also let me field *all* of my recently reacquired Eldar.

Any objections?
