I recently obtained close to 4000 to 5000 points of Eldar, most of it related to White Dwarf #127, which featured the debut of the Rogue Trader Era army list.  The cool part?  Most of these models were originally mine that I was able to buy back.  Really cool.

I have:
Original Avatar, which I believe is lead (rather than pewter)
Here's an example (the paint job is not mine and belongs to Dave Garbe)

6 units of Dire Avengers
6 units of Swooping Hawks
6 units of Dark Reapers
2 units of Howling Banshees
1 unit of Striking Scorpions
1 unit of Fire Dragons
3 War Walkers
1 Dreadnought
5 Guardians on Jetbikes
3 squads of Scouts (which would have to be fielded as Guardians, as there were no Scout rules in Rogue Trader for Space Marines *or* Eldar)
1 Guardian Squad with Shuriken Catapults
1 Guardian Squad with Lasguns
4 Dire Avenger Exarchs
3 Fire Dragon Exarchs
2 Striking Scorpion Exarchs
2 Farseers
6 Warlocks
3 Weapon Platforms and crews

I also have several 2nd Edition models
2 Ed. Avatar
2 Jain Zair
2 Maugan Ra
2 Baharroth
Fuegan
Asurmen
Karandras

I have a second Dreadnought that's more in line with 2nd Edition.

The plan right now is to strip the models for repaints (even though some of them represent some of my earliest painting efforts).  Once I get them repainted I'll have an opposing force for my Crimson Fists to play against.

Eldar in Rogue Trader didn't really have a lot of access to vehicles, so there's a ton of infantry here.  Should be a good match for my Crimson Fists.

  1. Coincidentally, I recently bought the 6th edition Eldar book. So now I want to collect Eldar and Slaanesh. Again.

Back in the 2nd ed. days, I killed it with Eldar.

  2. Me, too. My lack of vehicles makes me think that my Eldar would be pretty unprotected in 6th, but that's just my suspicion.

Started stripping down models last night.
